Jimmy Kimmel's mean tweets segments are legendary by this point, but as the US prepares to celebrate Mother's Day, the late-night host put a sweet spin on his usual celebrity segment. Instead of asking stars to read out the cruel things people have said about them on social media, he asked them to read out the funniest or weirdest texts they've received from their moms. It's not the first time he's done this, but it could be the best yet.
Among those taking part are Katy Perry (whose mom doesn't so much write texts as short stories), Billie Eilish (whose mom is one of many to fall foul of autocorrect on a certain word beginning with "F") and the Kardashians, who revealed that all Kris Jenner really wants for Mother's Day is a reply from Kourtney. Watch for yourself ahead, then see if you can stop yourself from picking up your own phone and scrolling through your history to find the text from your mom that would be perfect for this skit.
