It's the start of a new era for Taylor Swift, and on Tuesday, she gave fans a glimpse of what's to come at NYC's Time 100 Gala. The 29-year-old singer — who made the magazine's 100 Most Influential People list this year — had the honor of performing at the gala, along with Khalid, and sang a handful of her hits, including "Delicate" and "Style." "When you write about your life, it lets you process your life . . . good or bad," she told the crowd. "I use my writing as an armor."
Swift is featured on one of the six covers for the annual Time issue, marking her third time on the list. Shawn Mendes wrote an essay to accompany the issue, praising the singer for making "the job of creating music for millions of people look easy." "It all comes from her — her belief in magic and love, and her ability to be as honest and raw as possible," he wrote. "She's the master of putting the perfect amount of thought into not overthinking, and that's why her music connects so well."
Swift has also been teasing a mysterious countdown for April 26, and naturally, fans are going crazy trying to figure out what it means. Is she releasing a new single? Or maybe it's a new album? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
