Start off RAKit Week by thanking a Military Member! 1 Every day, there are countless Chivers putting on uniform to serve and protect this country. At home and overseas, some of these heroes write in about how this humor blog has given them a short break from their otherwise stressful environments and, to us here at HQ, that means a lot. Being able to do the “work” we do is really only possible because of the Chive Community and we’re very thankful for the opportunity. 2 Seeing the support of Chivers while abroad is what makes the Chive Community truly special. So when these folks come to visit theCHIVE HQ, one thing always stands out – the Copper Bar and the patches that adorn the shelving, all donated from military Chivers that have stopped by to visit the office. 3 With so many Chivers being affiliated to the military, we’re proud to continue these happy hours and share a beer (or three) with these men and women. Most Fridays out of the year, the Copper Bar opens up to veterans and current service members while the office winds down for happy hour. It’s a small way we can personally thank those who serve. Sometimes happy hours can get a little crazy, but always worth it to be able to meet the men and women in uniform that keep us safe from harm’s way. 4 Like that one time John got a preview of what it meant to get “Blood Wings.” 56 Ouch. 7 Chive Minnesota admin, Jay, even brought the RAK’s to Norway while training.
