In its season premiere, Saturday Night Live made light of the recent Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Brett Kavanaugh. In the timely cold open, Matt Damon made a surprise appearance as the Supreme Court nominee and, in case you were wondering, calendars and beer were featured prominently.
Damon opened the spoof of the hearing by reading his prepared opening remarks. "I wrote it myself last night while screaming into an empty bag of Doritos," he said. Damon then brought up Kavanaugh's now-infamous calendars. "I've got these calendars — these beautiful, creepy calendars," he said. The skit also featured Kate McKinnon as Senator Lindsey Graham, Pete Davidson as Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, and Saturday Night Live alum Rachel Dratch as Senator Amy Klobuchar.
