It seems This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman just can't help himself when it comes to making people cry. In addition to his hit NBC TV show, he's also bringing a new film to the big screen: Life Itself. The romantic drama features a ridiculously talented ensemble cast, including Oscar Isaac and Olivia Wilde as a couple who we watch from their first date to their first child until tragedy strikes them. From there begins "a multigenerational love story" that stretches from New York City to the Spanish countryside, which is where Antonio Banderas comes in.
In our exclusive clip from the film, above, Banderas's Mr. Saccione has a wistful conversation with a young mother named Isabel (Laia Costa) and her son before they're interrupted by her husband (who doesn't seem so keen on Mr. Saccione's presence). Life Itself also stars Mandy Patinkin, Olivia Cooke, and Annette Bening, and it will hit theaters on Sept. 21.
