A few weeks ago, KC Chives On organized an absolute rager and threw down for Special Olympics Missouri and Chive Charities. A blacklight party infused with a dance floor, hoppy beverages, and fun-loving people all came together beautifully to kick off their year and solidified their status as one of the best chapters out there. After the lights came on and last call was served, $12,487.44 was raised for the first responders, veterans, rare medical conditions, and special education initiatives.
Congratulations and well done, Kansas City! Check out their Blackout 2.0 party and follow them HERE. Huge thanks to Joe Snapp for documenting the epic party!
Also worth thanking the admin team comprised of Geoff, Mike, and Sam for spearheading this meetup, as well as the ones that came before it. You guys are rockstars!
Not bad for just a few folks simply looking to make the world 10% happier.
And the charity party doesn’t stop there. At the beginning of the year, Chive Charities opened up a fundraising competition for Chive Nation chapters with the winner being able to send one of their members here to Austin to compete in our upcoming HQ Spelling Bee. KC Chives On took the prize and in a brutal spelling showdown, Jory Swim claimed the rights to represent them on Team AdultSwim alongside Taylor Wood and Cam Biehle. He better bring his A-B-C game. See ya soon, Jory!
