No one's really a loser when it comes to a battle of ballads versus bops, but John Legend is definitely making a case for winner! The father of two made a rousing appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden where he challenged the host to a Pitch Perfect-esque riff-off to prove that ballads are just as Summer music-worthy as radio bops. With the help of an a cappella group, Filharmonic, Corden and Legend took turns performing versions of well-known tunes, like the Jonas Brothers' "Sucker" to the latter's own "All of Me" and Billie Eilish's hit "Bad Guy." Though things went a little left when Corden stood by Eilish's lyrics to seduce someone's dad (though Legend swears his father is happily married, thankyouverymuch), the two reach a happy medium that everyone can enjoy.
