I Tried the WW x Blue Apron Meals, and Here's Why I'm Not Quitting Anytime Soon

I finally found the key to making WW even easier: WW x Blue Apron. The two brands teamed up to create a meal-kit delivery service that will sit neatly in your WW plan. When you subscribe, you get two or three recipes each week (that each serve two), and if you're a party of one, like me, this is great to also double as a work lunch. WW gave me a three-recipe box to try, and it spanned a whopping six meals, which is incredible for the price ($60 at full price).

For someone who sometimes struggles to stick to a healthy-eating plan, something like this is unbelievably helpful because it takes so much of the work out of the equation. I'm extremely busy, and lazy during all the times I'm not busy, which makes eating healthy tricky. But WW x Blue Apron saves the day!

Keep reading to see exactly what I like about the subscription service (and why I'll be happy to keep using it) and see the delicious meals I ate for the week.

All-Hard-Work-Done-You.jpg

The most difficult part for me when it comes to WW is figuring out what to eat and how it fits into my daily SmartPoints budget. WW x Blue Apron takes care of that for me. Each meal is two portions, and the points are already figured out for you. All you have to do is prep and cook. And as much as prepping and cooking are a real struggle for me, even I could handle this.

Recipes-So-Good.jpg

I tried three recipes in my first box: chicken with rice and vegetables, mushroom risotto (pictured here), and fish with vegetables. Not only are these recipes good and good for you, but they're all things I would never think of to make for myself. I love to eat elaborate meals (or ones that just seem elaborate) that are beyond throwing pasta in a pot or salad on a plate, but I don't have the time to sit down and figure out what those recipes are going to be. With WW x Blue Apron, I don't even have to worry about it, because I'm getting what looks like gourmet meals without having to do much work.

Cheaper-Than-Ordering-Takeout.jpg

I am very vocal about how much I love ordering food and having it come to my door. This technically does that, though I have to do the work. However! WW x Blue Apron is cheaper than ordering takeout every night. You can get three recipes (two meals each) delivered per week for $60 (the first two boxes are half price for newbies right now), which comes out to only $10 per meal. I can't get anything delivered in New York for $10. So not only am I getting a healthier meal that I can feel proud of prepping and cooking myself, but it's actually saving me money. Honestly, how does it get any better?
