Remember that time when Marvel released Avengers: Infinity War and ruined all of our lives with a single snap? So do we! As if any of us could forget the brutal ending that made us witness the most heartbreaking goodbyes or the hilarious memes that were born from our pain. Infinity War put us on a roller coaster of emotions, which isn't exactly helped by the fact that we still have a ways to go before the next Avengers movie comes out. Luckily, Netflix always comes through for us.
The streaming giant has released the list of new titles hitting the site in December, and among them is Infinity War. As a holiday treat to all Marvel fans, the movie will premiere on Dec. 25. So you can can get jolly with Thanos and ring in the new year with whatever Avengers are left!
While this is great news, it does come hand-in-hand with a bit of a bad news. According to Variety, Marvel's deal with Disney will end in 2020 and Disney is also rolling out its own streaming site Disney+ in 2019. Since Netflix doesn't have the rights to any 2019 Marvel releases and is losing its access to the Disney catalog, Ant-Man and the Wasp — which came out in 2018 — could be the last Marvel title to debut on Netflix. (The Marvel shows on Netflix are safe since they're produced by the streaming giant, so they belong to Netflix as much as Marvel.)
For now, you can still check out Black Panther, Thor: Ragnarok, Doctor Strange, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on Netflix and remember happier times.
