‘Game of Thrones’ stars kept quirky souvenirs from the show

You can’t act on a TV series for 10 years, especially one with the kind of iconic costumes, fierce weapons and peculiar props seen on “Game of Thrones,” without wanting a souvenir for all that spilled fake blood, sweat and tears. We asked the cast of the HBO series what they were able to filch — maybe “spirit away” is a more fitting term — and what they wished they could have taken. Their answers may surprise you.

Hannah Murray (Gilly): A pair of waterproof socks

Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont): I kept a couple of rings. Jorah went through his Dothraki phase, when he had lots of their garb and symbols on, so a couple of those rings were portable and stealable so I nicked them.

Richard Dormer (Beric Dondarrion): I got my eyepatch. I wanted my sword but they wouldn’t give it to me.

Liam Cunningham (Davos): I kept everything. I’ve got a full-size Dothraki sword. You know the carving that Shireen is holding when her ladyship burns her? I’ve got the stag that I carved for her and also the burnt stag that I find [afterward]. I’ve got obsidian. I’ve got money from the Bank of Braavos.

Jerome Flynn (Bronn): I got away with a pair of socks. They were very strict. I wanted the leather. Bronn’s leather.

Maisie Williams (Arya Stark): There’s a season where Arya keeps faces and there’s little drips of blood everywhere. I kept one of the little silicone strips of blood. I left them in the bathroom in my trailer on the floor.

Gwendoline Christie (Brienne): I was desperate to take my sword and now those items have become extremely valuable props. So that was not possible. I am not a thief. I mean, where do you put the sword? Do you put it down the trouser leg?
