Former NHL prospect back on the ice after heart attack and leg amputation (Video)


Two years after suffering a massive heart attack during the warmup for a game with the Arizona Coyotes’ AHL affiliate team, the Tucson Roadrunners, former NHL prospect Craig Cunningham returned to the ice for the first time with the aid of a prosthetic skate. Complications required doctors to amputate part of Cunningham’s left leg, which effectively ended his career as a pro hockey player, but it doesn’t look like that slowed him down much.
