Dame Barbara Windsor, best known for her roles in EastEnders and Carry On, has been taking medication to manage Alzheimer’s disease – but tragically her memory loss symptoms have worsened.
Peggy Mitchell actress Barbara, who is 80, was given the news in April 2014.
Her husband Scott Mitchell, 55, told The Sun in order to “help other families deal with loved ones who have this cruel disease”.
