Chivers all over the country broke out their nerf guns for good causes again.

The Chiverhood was able to raise $5,075 for three families facing medical bills in this year’s CHIVERHOOD NERF WARS.

“The first recipient was a young girl named Rylan from Alabama. Rylan is battling Rett a neurological disorder which no longer allows her to speak, but this has never made her beautiful smile disappear.”

“The second recipient chive nation knows all too well, Kenze from Nebraska and her amazing companion Maki. Kenze has a series of syndromes that domino one after the other. The second round was dubbed Kick out EDS with Kenze. Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), is a disease which causes her joints to dislocate easily.”

“The 3rd and final recipient was a girl originally from the Maryland chapter recently moved to the state of Michigan. Her name is Naomi and she was diagnosed with Glioma Astrocytoma when she was just six years old. Astrocytoma and gliomas are tumors that grow from brain cells which can affect a multitude of normal functions from movement, talking and eating. Last year Naomi was partially paralyzed and beat that, soon after learning to walk again she took up Tae Kwon Do. Naomi is now nine and her chemo port was removed earlier this year. ” – Ben from Chiverhood

Florida Chivers are staying busy to help those in need

Space Coast Chive had a busy streak with three events in three weeks that kept their Chivers busy and their chapter helping their local schools as well as the Boot Campaign, dedicated to providing life-improving programs for veterans and military families bridge the divide between military life and civilian life.

In a nearby town, Crystal Coast Chivers collected supplies to send to families as they regroup in the wake of Hurricane Florence.

All the while, San Antonio Chivers held a food drive for hunger prevention month in September.

Virginia Chivers look to help families dealing with cancer

The Chive Virginia joins together to collect school supplies and donations for Still Brave, an organization committed to providing non-medical supportive care to children with cancer and their families in the Washington, DC metro area.
