My brother and friend @JoeBiden is back on Instagram. Welcome back, Joe—you'll always be one of the rare exceptions to my no-selfies rule.

There's really only one person who could do Joe Biden's return to Instagram justice, and that's his bud Barack Obama. On Sept. 8, the 44th president of the United States shared a sweet photo with his "brother" Biden, to celebrate the former VP's return to the social media platform. Apparently, Obama has a "no-selfies" rule but he's willing to make a "rare exception" for this close friend.
Biden hasn't used Instagram publicly since leaving the office of vice president in January 2016. He operated under the username @vp44, but can now be found under an account of his own name. His first post honored a team of wounded veterans he walked with, alongside his wife Jill.
"I'm proud to know them, and grateful to have the chance to once again share my days with you here on @instagram," he wrote in the photo's caption. "It's good to be back."
Check out more sweet moments between Obama and Biden ahead. We sure do miss these two.
