If you’ve never heard of Lombard Street, it’s because the locals would really like to keep tourists from overcrowding this famous crooked street. Pictured above, the steep and winding path features eight hairpin turns and unmatched views of San Francisco, drawing tourists from every corner of the globe. Unfortunately for the locals who live near this street, traffic has become so bad that they’ve even begun to petition for a fee to be enforced in order to drive on the street, hoping that will deter future tourists.
