Max Montgomery, 56, seen on the left here, was on a first date with Andi Traynor, 45, on the right, when he suffered a heart attack. Andi, who happens to work as an anesthesiologist, immediately performed CPR on him.

Andi spent 7 minutes performing CPR on Max while she waited or the ambulance to show up to the beach. Upon reviving Max with a defibrillator, he was rushed to the hospital- ending the date on an insane note: With a kiss of life!

Max underwent bypass surgery when the doctors discovered that he had a few blockages in his coronary artery. This was ten months ago, and the now-couple is still going strong.

In an interview with Mirror UK, Max said the following:

“I woke up in the ambulance and there was a guy leaning over me. He asked me did I know what happened. I said: ‘Yeah I think I’ve had a heart attack, how embarrassing.’ It was embarrassing because I finally told this woman I really liked I had a crush on her and she had said it back.”

While recovering, Max had called Andi to thank her.

“It was an incredible sense of relief to hear his voice. I was just so relieved because I was so upset that I had just met this amazing person and now he could be gone.” Andi said.

“A few weeks after his surgery, he was recuperating and we were on the beach just talking, [and] I said, ‘You can kiss me for real now.’”

How heartwarming is that?
