Grindin’ Uber Eats delivery guy deserves all the respect (17 Photos) 1Ridesharing Forum I’ve got a lot of respect for the delivery people for the all of these food delivery apps like UberEATS and PostMates. They’re out there hustling, picking up food, navigating traffic, riding bikes and scooters for a few bucks a delivery. I mean, sometimes you’ve gotta do whatever you gotta do to make the extra cheese, so I tip my hat to these guys. But no one deserves more of a hat tip than UberEATS delivery dude Steven, in Queens, NY. 2Via Twitter Twitter user Michael Giambrone, who goes by the handle @mike_shakes is a pizza delivery driver, and one night wanted to order some food from a local restaurant. So he turned to his UberEATS app and ordered dinner. Upon looking at the ETA, he saw that his driver actually had ‘walker’ listed below his name. 3Via Twitter Instead of coming by car, scooter or bike, Steven was walking. So Michael messaged Steven to double check that he was indeed walking. This was the message he got back. 4Via Twitter How’s that for dedication? Also, that “no worries” comment is pretty reassuring. Michael tweeted out his exchange with Steven, where it quickly went viral. 5Via Twitter When Steven arrived at the house, they had a good laugh about the whole thing. 6Via Twitter It’s only fair. I imagine it was a good one. 7GIF Now, this would be me walking fast in the city. Now add on a bag of hot food, and it’d be a messy nightmare. People were impressed, though. 8Via Twitter9Via Twitter According to Michael, he didn’t tweet out the experience to shame Steven or anything. He thought it was a funny situation and something you’d really only see in NY. 10Via Twitter Talk about power-walking. 11Via Twitter12Via Twitter13GIF14Via Twitter15Via Twitter16Via Twitter All in all, I have a lot of respect for Steven’s commitment to getting the job done. Hopefully he’s getting enough work using his two feet, and he can save up for a bike or something. Or maybe he’ll just keep on using his feet to pay his way. 17GIF Here’s hoping that “Parkour Expert/Ninja” is listed on my next UberEATS order. H/T Twitter & Buzzfeed Source link
