Clarksville takes Sunday Funday seriously 1 Every Sunday afternoon in Clarksville, Tennessee, hundreds of Chivers set up a potluck and simply share an afternoon together. A weekly event open to the public, the Clarksville Chivers have been able to meet people from all walks of life in their local community and have mentioned the impact it’s made on them as a chapter: “Sunday Funday’s have been the backbone of Clarksville Chive for years now. There is music, games, food, swimming, donation drives, and good ol’ community networking. We use it as an opportunity to thank members for being awesome, as well as collect goods for shelters, food banks, pet rescues, etc. It’s also how we keep new members coming in and showing the community what they are all about! Anyone and everyone is welcome, and people from all over will come over to chat, grab a cold beverage and a hot dog, and ask us who we are and what we are all about. And they love it!” 23 Just another successful Sunday Funday food drive for the local food bank. 4 The weekly potluck helps this group stick together and motivate folks to get out and volunteer, like when they do their community clean ups. 5 The beautiful thing is, these are happening with Chive Chapters all across the country.
